Allow Yourself to Smile

Today’s post is meant simply to encourage smiles. Too often, we take offense to words or photos. I believe we’ve stopped looking for the meaning behind the words, what people are truly trying to say, and just go with gut reactions.

Today, I want you to simply look at some images and read their tags. They aren’t meant to offend in any way; rarely do I post anything to be offensive. There’s a photo about being a life support, another about insanity, some about making mistakes or being lazy, silly and unrealistic. I’ve actually seen these on the Internet where someone, somewhere took offense to each one. Whether they be Internet trolls, or recently going through something and the image cut too close to home, or they just don’t see the joke – they were offended. And each time I was amazed.

Learn to laugh again, learn to look for the happy in situations, look at things for the joke they are meant to be. And if you’re offended all the time by everything people post, maybe the Internet isn’t the place for you. Seek life elsewhere.

XO – T.
