This weekend I had the wonderful pleasure of being included in the 11th annual Wild Women’s Wine Weekend – and I had a blast!
Call it a midlife crisis or finding myself or just a turning point. But at 40 I’m starting to finally figure out I’m okay to just be me. And I kinda like who I am.
How, pray tell, did it get to be JUNE already and late June at that?! That’s nearly 1/2 of the year GONE. And I have no idea where it went!
I’m technically a child of the 80’s, born in early 1974, but I was raised by a woman who loves all eras and genres of music. So, the Doors immediately popped into my head for this post (you’ll understand in a minute why). And, yes, I’m that crazy person who uses song lyrics as part of every day conversation. Sorry…not sorry?
What gives words their power in our lives? Is it the context in which they’re used? Is it the speaker or the writer of them? Or is it the words themselves, the combination of them, that gives them power?
Imagine you’re at a crossroads today…which will you choose? Are you going to be average or memorable?
Trying really hard to get my brain & body back into family, commitment & work mode. It ain’t there yet. After being back in the States for three weeks, I’m still mentally on Tico time…and if I’m completely honest, I kinda prefer it.
Today’s post is meant simply to encourage smiles. Too often, we take offense to words or photos. I believe we’ve stopped looking for the meaning behind the words, what people are truly trying to say, and just go with gut reactions.
