Stitch Fix #10 – For the Win!

You may have noticed the lack of Stitch Fix posts after #5. I think in the nine previous shipments, I’ve kept two items – a pink top and a blue cardigan. I was so disappointed in the items I had received I couldn’t even write about them anymore. Lots of ill-fitting, wrong season, or PRINT items. I actually took a little break but then came back for #10…And I loved it!

Give Yourself a Valentine’s Gift of Self Love

Oh you love haters! We’ve all been inundated with the “I hate Valentine’s Day” naysayers, haven’t we? Complaints about the commercial aspects, how it’s a “Hallmark” holiday (which, BTW, it’s NOT. Do a little research, would ya?) and, worst in my eyes, the “I’m single and this day SUCKS” people. This is a note to you…and to those who love Valentine’s Day. And to even those who are ambivalent about it. Basically, it’s a note to everyone. 🙂

What is…Sexy?

I’ve been talking a lot about my novels to new friends lately and they all seem caught off guard when they find out I write…(whispers) erotica. It usually leads to a discussion about sex and sexiness and the general perception of this in the real world versus novels. Herein lies my take on that very fun word and concept.

Call it a midlife crisis or finding myself or just a turning point. But at 40 I’m starting to finally figure out I’m okay to just be me. And I kinda like who I am.

Finding faith in one’s self

I know I’ve posted a lot of inspirational images but it’s what I think is needed most in the world. Or at least in my world. So many people have a hard time with self-love and self-esteem and I just want to find the right thing that will make them agree and say – “YES! That’s EXACTLY how I feel and what I needed to hear! THANK YOU!”

Daily Affirmations

Yesterday, my company had a wonderful presenter (Jenne Fromm) come in and talk to us about “Emotional Intelligence”. It was a wonderful seminar and it started a lot of positive communications within the office. I had a good conversation with a friend/coworker about anxiety and I shared with her the “Stop It” video I posted some time back. She, in turn, shared this one with me.

StitchFix #4

My StitchFix box was waiting for me when I returned from Costa Rica and I was really excited to try it out again after last month’s FIRST success and the nice little note they sent me. I should have tempered my anticipation so I wouldn’t have been so disappointed.
