From “18 Days” (a novel excerpt)
I started this novel awhile ago and I want to get back into it. I’m having trouble getting into my characters heads, however. I thought that by sharing it with you, my wonderful blog followers, I might trip the circuits in my brain into thinking about John & Jane again. Any feedback would be appreciated! If nothing else, I simply enjoy sharing what I write…someday someone might even give me money for it. 😉
Reflection of a Stranger: Prologue Share
My Strangers series is ready to have the THIRD novel added to the mix! Compliments from a Stranger was written two years ago and I wrote most of Stranger in Pursuit this past April. Now, I’m ready to dive into Reflection of a Stranger…I think.
Camp NaNoWriMo – 3rd Visit!
It’s official. In about 90 minutes, I will slowly begin to lose my mind…and develop a third novel. For the month of July, I’ve decided to throw myself into a fabulous summer camp – Camp NaNoWriMo!
Writing Inspiration
This post is to get ME inspired to be writing. Because the only writing I’ve done this month is here. And that’s fun and nice and great for y’all. But, it’s not going to get my books out of my head and on paper. So, hopefully this one will remind me WHY we write and encourage us to get to doing it!
Review: The Emotion Thesaurus
I’ve been slowly building a “writer’s library” and I added a new book this week, The Emotion Thesaurus: A Writer’s Guide to Character Expression by Angela Ackerman & Becca Puglis. And I’m excited!
Novel Lines
These are a few of my favorite lines…from my own novel, Compliments from a Stranger. Hope you like!
Cover: Compliments from a Stranger
Compliments from a Stranger is the first full-length novel I wrote. It came into being in April 2013 during the wonderful Camp NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month). I’ve edited it a couple of times but it still needs more refinement. However, I needed a visual to go with it, for my own edification. My photographer friend (who took the blog header image) took a stab at the design for the book. This isn’t the final cover, but it will look very close to this (we know the woman isn’t the right one…). Before I give you any excerpts, I thought you’d like to see this first.
