My Night at Treads & Threads
Here in Kansas City there is a large gala fundraiser for The University of Kansas Hospital Cancer Center every year called “Treads & Threads”. Through my company and specifically my own job, I’m able to work with this group for their digital needs – and I love it!

I’ve mentioned before that the place I hold “a real job” can be totally awesome and pretty damn awesome. Hmm…maybe I need another word for awesome…although it’s pretty appropriate. We’re awesome…and a lot bigger!
Tico time & pura vida
Trying really hard to get my brain & body back into family, commitment & work mode. It ain’t there yet. After being back in the States for three weeks, I’m still mentally on Tico time…and if I’m completely honest, I kinda prefer it.
Sometimes Work is…Pretty Damn Awesome!
I try to keep my personal blog and my business life fairly separate. I only mention my workplace, usually in general terms, just to let you know that I do hold a “real job” and I don’t spend my days looking for the nuttiness of the Internet (unless it’s part of a client request). I rarely mention my company by name because I don’t ever want to lead people to think the strangeness of my blog is tied to my company’s beliefs or scare anyone away from them because I’m a bit…eccentric (to say the least). But, this time I have to let my straight-flag fly and tell y’all just how awesome my workplace can be!

You might think the title of this post is an exaggeration and it is…by only the tiniest of margins. But I survived to tell the tale.
It was a work call…
Criminal Minds is still one of my favorite shows and as a die-hard fan I am, of course, all for the Penelope/Derek hookup. Last night, this episode was on again and I loved their little exchange. I think it made the other women who heard him wonder 1) who he was talking to and 2) how they could get a job working with him.

In case I haven’t mentioned it lately, I believe my coworker may be a demon in disguise. Not quite the devil incarnate, but definitely a figure from the deepest, darkest corners of hades.
